Energy Policy Act

Fi-Foil Helps You Capitalize On The 2005 Energy Policy Act and American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

Fi-Foil is committed to helping you, your company and your customers take advantage of the incentives available through the government's Energy Policy Act of 2005 and American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. You will find that our comprehensive line of reflective insulation products are ideally suited to help make that happen.

Commercial Buildings

Fi-Foil's Reflective Insulation for metal buildings can help your customers realize significant cost-savings. Taxpayers can enjoy a deduction of up to $1.80 per square foot for buildings that achieve a 50% reduction in annual energy costs related to heating, cooling, water heating and interior lighting - costs that are defined by the ASHRAE standard and within the building designer's control.

New Homes

Fi-Foil's products - particularly attic radiant barriers and reflective insulation applied to masonry walls - can help you qualify for the 2005 Energy Policy Act. A credit of up to $2,000 is available to home builders who build homes projected - and demonstrated - to save at least 50% of the heating and cooling energy of a comparable home that meets the standards of the 2004 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) Supplement.

There is also a 2005 Energy Policy Act $1,000 tax credit available to the producer of a new manufactured home achieving 30% energy savings for heating and cooling over the 2004 IECC and Supplements, or for a manufactured home meeting the requirements established by EPA under the Energy Star program.

Existing Homes

Not only can Fi-Foil's Reflective Insulation products be used to help ensure energy-efficiency in new construction, they can also help improve energy savings in existing homes. Current homeowners are eligible for different tax credits based on a variety of energy-efficiency measures - such as improving insulation from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Homeowners can apply for a tax credit of 30% of the cost of the insulation material up to $1,500.
