Project Solution

Brant & Son, Inc. presented Silver Shield as an option to Epoch Properties, for saving energy and keeping their Clubhouse more comfortable year-round. The Clubhouse is located in Jacksonville, FL at their new Community - Coventry Place Apartments (360 units). In the Jacksonville market, most of the multi-family structures are frame wall construction and generally use batt insulation as an inexpensive way to insulate their ceilings and walls. However, in the attic Fi-Foil’s Silver Shield (a multi-layered radiant barrier) can help reflect up to 97% of the radiant heat coming through the roof, and improve the performance of the ceiling and wall insulation. Silver Shield with it’s unique multi-layer design reduces heat gain in the summer and heat loss in the winter. In summer, it actually reduces attic temperatures by as much as 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Therefore, it also improves air conditioning and heating performance up to 50%. Hence, Fi-Foil’s Silver Shield is an option that pays you back, by actually reducing your utility bills.
